Mega Twins
Introduction
Capcom released Mega Twins in arcades in 1990, known in Japan as Chiki Chiki Boys. It tells the story of the twin princes of the kingdom of Alurea, who set out to defeat a monster that has devastated their home. The game is a side-scrolling action platformer with cute, colourful graphics and a surprising amount of variety, including stages on land, in the sky and underwater. The twins attack with swords, jump between platforms and fight a wide range of creatures before facing large bosses at the end of each area. Gold collected from enemies can be spent in shops on stronger weapons, armour and other upgrades, adding a light role-playing element. A special magic attack can clear the screen of enemies. Two players can play together at the same time, with each controlling one twin, making it a popular co-op game in arcades.
