Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose! was developed and published by Konami, released for the SNES in 1993 as a platformer starring Buster Bunny navigating cartoon-logic stages based on the Tiny Toon Adventures animated series. Each level reimagines a different Looney Tunes-style scenario, from raiding Elmyra’s toy-filled bedroom to escaping a horror-movie parody mansion, with Buster able to grab and throw enemies or use context-specific gimmicks unique to each stage’s theme. Its presentation drew heavily on the show’s own art style and character animation, a hallmark of Konami’s licensed output during this era, and its level variety kept the platforming from feeling as repetitive as many contemporary cartoon tie-ins. It was followed by a separate Genesis game under a similar name built by a different team, but the SNES original is generally considered the stronger and more polished of the two, and remains a well-liked example of Konami’s early-90s licensed platformer output.
