Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist was developed by Konami and released for the Mega Drive and Genesis in 1992, known in Europe as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and in Japan as Return of the Shredder. The Shredder has stolen the Hyperstone, a gem powerful enough to shrink the whole of Manhattan, and Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael must fight through the city streets, sewers, a pirate ship and the Technodrome to get it back. Rather than a direct port of an arcade game, it is a Sega-exclusive adventure that borrows sprites, music and ideas from the Turtles in Time arcade machine while adding new stages and bosses of its own. Each turtle has his own reach, speed and power, attacks and dash moves flow into one another smoothly, and two players can play together from start to finish.
