X-Men is a 1993 side-scrolling beat ’em up that lets players choose from six playable mutants from Marvel’s X-Men roster to battle through waves of Magneto’s minions across a series of vibrant, comic-inspired levels. Like other superhero brawlers of its era, it supports cooperative play, letting friends team up as different X-Men to punch, kick, and blast their way through each stage together. The Sega Genesis version brought the arcade-style beat ’em up formula home, letting fans relive classic ’90s X-Men storylines through fast, straightforward action.
